I saw you in Pittsburgh this pas winter, and was lucky enough to flirt with you during the intermission! I'm using one of your songs ("Dancing Sweeny") on a mock website. Don't worry -- the site isn't being published online -- just being constructed in a web development class. Our assignment was to use "dynamic html" to build a site for our own radio station. So... if I could really have my own radio station, and play what I really want to, I would play your music all the time! In the meantime, I must be content with listening to it on my iPod, which is just as good, if not better!!
Can't wait until you come along to Pittsburgh for a concert, again!

HI Gerry, I came to your music through listening to Maura O Connell recently. Your Celtic soul is evident and made me homesick, in a good way! I am looking forward to performing some of your music with my band in the near future.
Any gigs planned in the Boston area?

Thanks for one of the most beautiful evenings of music I have ever experienced. You turn the guitar into a constellation and the ukulele into a prism. I had thought I was unfamiliar with your music until you played "Western Highway," then I realized that many of your songs have been rendered by other artists. Especially love the song to your muse, "Long Beating Wing." Both CDs will be played until they're bald. Thanks so much.

Gerry I loved your set at Stony Brook, Rosie was superb as well. I've read Doris Lessing's Marriage s Between Zones 3, 4 and 5, and would like to read the lyrics to the song it inspired.
Reminding you about my new verse to Dylan's It Takes A Lot To Laugh... see & hear it on my MySpace,
www.myspace.com/hankstone
I appreciated your page on tunings. I do a few tunes in alternate tunings but lately my fancy has been tickled by partial capos.
Hope to catch you again soon.
Thanks.

Durn, I have been busy getting ready for a family homecoming for Thanksgiving and I forgot and missed Gerry's North Carolina performance. Ouch. There is no one I would rather see and listen to.

My wife, two daughtes and I saw you and Rosie this evening. It was the first time we'd heard of you, or your music (sure glad San Marcos
Library hosted you and Rosie).
Was amazed by your mastery of the 12 string -- it was lyrical. Yes, it is a shame more people don't play it (then again, so few play it well; so maybe it isn't a bad thing after all).
Your style is so unique, felt like I was listening to a jazz musician playing folk. . .scales of chords instead of individua notes. . .clear as bells -- and on a 12 string no less. BRAVO! And your elephant is pretty awesome also.
Just got home, put your CD on -- Rosie's too -- to get a feel for what was on them. Look forward to listening to it tomorrow.
Thanks again for a wonderful evening of music.

Your music and the pictures it has created for me have touched me deeply for over 20 years. For me, to be at one of your concerts is to be allowed at communion. And that's just the simplest way I can say it. Thank you.

Hi Gerry,
I've been a fan of your songwriting since Maura O'Connell recorded "Half Moon Bay" back in 1995 (still my favorite recording of hers). Stumbled upon a copy of your own "Half Moon Bay" recording about a month ago, and must admit it makes me pine to be in the Irish hillsides, even though I've never visitied there. How lucky that you're coming to North Carolina in November. We just left a message at the "house concert" in Raleigh (closer to us) but if that doesn't work out we will come to the Winston-Salem show. Thank you for sharing your beautiful songs. Most sincerely, Darren Stuart

I heard you on XM radio yesterday. I enjoyed your mention of Radio Luxembourg. My Irish friends tell stories of listening to classic rock on this station when they were teens. We spent time streaming music from our youth on their web site. And like you, I went to bed in Chicago with the transistor radio under my pillow. We grew up seperated by an ocean, but with a shared love of music.

Gerry,
My sister and I loved your concert at Beans in the Belfry in Virginia. That was one of the best days of my life. You spoke with us warmly, and my sister gave you her door prize. We thought you were brilliantly, spontaneously hilarious. I listen to your CD almost all the time, and it's so exquisite that most other music pales beside it. You have the sweetest voice, and I've never heard such beautiful guitar playing with so much heart.

Saw you with Thom moore in the Cherrytree last night. Very enjoyable gig. Paticularly enjoyed the "two twelve-strings"
I have just had a look at your photos. some very good quirky images.I went to New Orleans with my family last July 2006. A sad place after Katrina, but hopefully the spirit still lives. All the best

Hi Gerry...We met in Berkeley many years ago when you played there with Andy Stewart. I gave you a lift, and gave you the piece I wrote about my grandfather. Been listening to Half Moon Bay, and thought I would check up on your site to see if you've recorded a new album yet. Your photographs are truly wonderful. Hope to see/hear you near Redding, CA someday!

OK...now I'm pissed! YOU are playing the SECOND week of Jazzfest, Whilst I am playing the FIRST. THAT JUST SUCKS!! Are you going to be in New Orleans the weekend before? I'd love to run into you. I could get you into the party I'm playing the First Friday of JAZZFEST.
BTW...I was getting a wee bit Guinessized in a really cool pub in Dublin watching a really great trio play and Lo and behold they played one of yer tunes! I went up and asked them about it and they responded with you bein' somewhat a musical legend in them thar parts...
How cool are you! There are a few locals here in Park City that play my songs but they probably would appologize for it if confronted!

Your music forever defines a part of my life that was the happiest i've ever been before or since. When your music plays, it brings me back to that feeling of loving and being loved that i felt then. Thank you for making music that is so powerful that a girl can just remember what it was like for a moment in time to be truly happy.
God Bless you Always,

Hi Gerry
Since I wrote to thank you for a great gig in Dingle in September, we've decided to come back from Dorset to Kerry (Dunquin) for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. Any chance you'll be playing within a 100 mile radius or will you be in the US?
Really looking forward to your new album (no pressure!!).

Gerry,
I want to say thanks for coming to Atlanta. I was one of the two teenage girls at your concert. I have to say, I don't think i've been as happy to hear anything in my entire life than i was that night.
My sister Gen (the one sitting on the floor, who plays the guitar) and i have been listening to your music since i can remember. We used to fall asleep to your music every single long car ride we've had to Vermont.
Hearing you play, live, watching the way you play, made my year... i swear. Seeing you here made me so happy. I've always wanted to see you play.
Thanks for coming. I really hope you come back and play again.
-Tess
p.s. I still love the photos on your website... they're amazing.

Hi Gerry,
Too often in life words go unspoken, so I will speak some now to you that must be said - "Half Moon Bay" is a work of astonishing beauty that I haven't stopped playing since it was first given to me by my sister [who knew that I was a fan of yours from Midnight Well days].
NOW ...
1. When is the next one slated for release?
2. When can you come to Vancouver?
Best wishes,
John.

Wonderful guitar, the 12-string pieces are my favorite.
Just returned from a 3 week trip to Ireland. I'm 54 years young and just met my cousins in County Monoghan for the first time. Already planning the next trip.
Gerry, please come to Wisconsin or Minneapolis. I only have one ear left after some life altering surgery, so I'll listen twice as hard. MPC

We saw Gerry with Maura in Fairfield, Connecticut back in the 90's and bought his CD at the concert. We've played it since in the car and our twin daughters Tess and Gen have come to love the music too. Gen plays guitar for the past 6-7 years and is awed by Gerry's ability and expression. We moved to Gainesville, Georgia 2 years ago and look forward to seeing Gerry some day in a concert in Atlanta. Looking forward to that next CD!
Some sheet music off your songs if available would be great for my daughter Gen.
Thanks.
